Client files — Google Drive free (15 GB is plenty to start)
Posting — Meta Business Suite free (schedule a week of posts in one sitting)
Money in — a free invoicing tool or plain bank transfer to start; add real invoicing when client #3 pays
Upgrade rule: never pay for a tool until a paying client makes it necessary.
COMMENT: SCRIPTS
💬 3 first-client DM scripts
Polite. Short. Human. Personalize the [brackets] every time — never mass-blast.
The intro: "Hi [name] — I help [niche] with [specific problem]. I made a quick sample of what that looks like for a business like yours — want me to send it? No pitch, just the sample."
The follow-up (3 days later): "Quick bump on my note from [day] — still happy to send that sample if useful. Either way, hope [something specific about their business] is going well."
The closer (after they say yes): "Great — here's how I'd do it: [3-step plan, one line each]. I'd charge [price] for the first one so you can see the quality before committing to more. Want to start [day]?"
Ten of these a day, personalized, beats a hundred generic blasts.

🗂 Client onboarding template
Welcome message (send within 24h of yes)
"You're in — here's what happens next: 1) quick intake form (5 min), 2) 20-min kickoff call, 3) I start [day] and deliver [first deliverable] by [date]. Anything you need from me before we start?"
Intake form (5 questions)
What does success look like for this project, in one sentence?
Who is this for (your customer)?
Anything you've tried before? What happened?
Must-haves vs. nice-to-haves?
Best way + time to reach you?
Kickoff call agenda (20 min)
5 min: their goals in their words · 10 min: walk through your 3-step plan · 5 min: dates, deliverables, how you'll communicate. End with the next date on the calendar.

💲 How to price your first offers
First client = learning price. Price low enough that "yes" is easy, high enough that you take it seriously. The goal of client #1 is a testimonial, not profit.
Three tiers, always. Starter (small, fixed scope) / Standard (the real offer) / Premium (done-with-you or faster). Most buyers pick the middle — that's the point.
Price the outcome, not the hours. "Inbox handled daily" beats "5 hours of VA work." If you can't name the outcome, the offer isn't ready.
Raise on evidence. After 3 happy clients, raise 25–50%. Repeat. Your price is a hypothesis until the market confirms it.
Say it plainly. Put the price on the page or in the second message. Hiding the price filters out everyone except the suspicious.
No income claims anywhere in your marketing — sell the work and the outcome, never the earnings.
COMMENT: PORTFOLIO
🖼 3 sample projects (no clients needed)
Label every sample "sample project" — never imply it was paid client work.
The makeover. Take a real business's weak asset (a dull Instagram bio, a confusing flyer) and redo it. Before/after, one page.
The starter kit. Build the thing your niche always needs first (a content calendar template, an email welcome sequence, a pricing one-pager). Give the structure away; sell the customization.
The teardown. Record or write a 5-minute audit of a business in your niche: 3 things they're doing right, 3 fixes. This doubles as your outreach asset.
Three labeled samples beat zero clients every time. Post them where your niche gathers.
